From July 5–26, we had the joy of hosting and leading our Ambassador D.C. team right from our own home. God brought together five incredible students (ages 15–17) from across the United States—each with unique gifts, passions, and stories. Kevin and I counted it a privilege to walk alongside them as they served, prayed, and grew in their faith.
Over the course of three weeks, God opened powerful doors for ministry—some planned, others completely unexpected. Our team learned to listen for His voice and step out in faith. Every outreach was an opportunity to partner with what He was already doing.
Ministry included:
- Prayer Walk – Sam’s Club (ATL)– Our first “Ask the Lord” outreach—ministering to those God led us to.
- Prayer Walk at the Supreme Court– Praying for each justice by name, asking God for wisdom, justice, and truth. “If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God…” — James 1:5
- Prayer Walk at the U.S. Capitol– Lifting up our nation’s leaders and decisions that shape our country.

Prayer Walk around the White House – Praying over our nation’s leaders and ministering to people nearby.

- DC Central Kitchen– Packing food boxes and praying for chefs in training—many overcoming addiction or homelessness.

- Courage Challenge – NGCC Camp- The students spoke to 50 campers on courage, sharing stories of biblical heroes who overcame fear. “Be strong and courageous… for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” — Joshua 1:9

- Laundromat Ministry – Turning laundry time into prayer time with strangers.
- New York & New Jersey (ATL)- Ministering to NYPD officers, blessing hotel staff, and praying in the heart of Manhattan.
- Living Word Church – Week of VBS and Camp- Serving from early morning to late afternoon, loving and leading children with energy and joy.

- David’s Tent (ATL)– Praying for worship leaders, intercessors, and passersby in need of encouragement.
- Homeless Ministry – Washington, D.C. & Baltimore- Delivering groceries, hygiene kits, and hope—praying with families right on their porches.

- Visit to Iranian Church– Fellowshipping with believers from a different culture, celebrating God’s global family.
- Laurel Advocacy & Referral Services (LARS) Helping in the food pantry and organizing their new service space.
- Nourish Now Food Bank- Sorting six large pallets of produce for local families in need.
“Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.” — 1 Corinthians 15:58
Ministry was our mission, but rest and joy were also part of the journey.
New York City — A whirlwind day of exploring Manhattan, touring by bus, and ferrying out to see the Statue of Liberty.

Maryland Pool Day — Laughter, rest, and recharging after a full week of VBS.
Hershey Park, Pennsylvania — A sweet (literally!) finale with roller coasters, chocolate, and time to reflect on all God had done.

Over these three weeks, we saw students step outside their comfort zones, pray boldly for strangers, and discover how God speaks when we listen. We witnessed tears, laughter, sore feet, tired bodies—and hearts forever marked by God’s love. Seeds were Planted, and lives were changed.

As leaders, we were reminded that when young people are given space to serve boldly and depend fully on God, they rise to the challenge. The seeds planted during this trip will bear fruit for years to come.
